The Chevrolet Chevelle was introduced by General Moters in 1964, with the second generation of the vehicle released in 1969. The mid-sized passenger vehicle was available in sedan, coupe, convertible, station wagon and sports versions. A popular design feature of the second generation included the long hood and short base. Engines sizes varied from 3.8 liter to 7.4 liter with V6 and V8s installed across many models. Transmission was available in 3 and 4 speed manual or 2 and 3 speed automatic.
