The third-generation Chevrolet Nova was launched in 1968 and was available as a two-door coupe or as a four-door sedan. The engine range kicked off with a 2.5-liter four-cylinder, extended up through a number of straight six-cylinder engines and onto a range of V8 engines starting at 5.0 liters and topping out at 6.6 liters. There were a range of manual and automatic transmissions available throughout the car’s life. A high-performance SS (Super Sport) version was released in 1968. Other changes throughout the car’s life were minor, and comprised tweaks to the lights and grille, modified rear windows, and enhanced engines and transmissions. At Haynes, we have an extensive range of Chevrolet repair manuals and online maintenance procedures available for professional mechanics and DIY car enthusiasts. Our Chevrolet Nova repair manual is here to help you through every stage of servicing or fixing your car.
