The UK government has scrapped the need for people travelling from more than 50 countries to have to self-isolate for 14 days – and Australia and New Zealand are on the list. The quarantine restrictions came into force in early June in an effort to minimise coronavirus infections in the UK, but were heavily criticised by the travel industry.
From 10 July, people coming to the UK from Australia and New Zealand will be able to continue with their holiday or business unhindered. However, Brits will have to self-isolate for 14 days.
