The Kia Sorento represented the company’s first real foray into the world of family SUVs. The first version was a traditional body-on-frame SUV with plenty of off-road ability and a long roster of standard equipment. Engine choices comprised a 3.5-liter V6 or a 2.5-liter four-cylinder. In 2007, the 3.5 V6 was replaced by a 3.8 V6, which greatly increased its towing capacity. In 2009 the second-generation Sorento appeared. It was lighter than its predecessor, and also had a 2.4-liter four-cylinder gasoline engine. It was good to drive, safe and well equipped. At Haynes, we have an extensive range of Kia repair manuals and online maintenance procedures available for professional mechanics and DIY car enthusiasts. Our Kia Sorento repair manual is here to help you through every stage of servicing or fixing your car.
