The Nissan Pathfinder was launched in 1985 as a two-door SUV that shared many of its components with the then-new Nissan Hardbody pickup truck. It was available with two- or four-wheel drive and an automatic transmission. The base engine was a 2.4-liter four-cylinder, and a 3.0liter V6 was also available. Come 1990 a four-door version was launched in North America, and the two-door was dropped. Facelifts comprised mainly trim tweaks and styling adjustments until the car was replaced in 1995. At Haynes, we have Nissan repair manuals and online maintenance procedures to suit professional mechanics and DIY car enthusiasts alike. Our Nissan Pathfinder manual will be able to help whether you're servicing or repairing your car.
