The life story of Haynes’ founding father, John Haynes, The Man Behind The Manuals, is now set to hit bookshelves in September, slightly later than planned because of Covid-19.
This fascinating and inspiring book charts the life of the man behind Haynes manuals and looks ‘under the bonnet’ at his lasting legacy to the motoring world.
The book features more than 70 photos, along with anecdotes from friends and family. Talking about John Haynes’ influence on the world of motoring, motor fanatic and TV presenter James May says: “If you grew up in the era when cars and motorbikes were unreliable, John Haynes was the Messiah.”
John passed away in February 2019, aged 80. His passion for cars and for the business he created remained undiminished, and lives on today through his family.
Written by Ned Temko, the biography has a recommended retail price of $41.95 and will be available from Haynes.com.
