About
The Toyota Land Cruiser J60 was the company’s bid to fend off the emerging threat of the SUV. As such it had numerous luxurious enhancements as standard, such air-conditioning and a much classier interior. It was powered by a 4.2-liter gasoline engine, with a 4.2-liter inline six and a 3.4-liter six-cylinder turbodiesel were also available. This car lasted a decade, until it was replaced by the 80 series Land Cruiser. It was bigger and more luxurious than ever. Throughout its life it was enhanced with anti-lock brakes, a viscous diff and new and more efficient diesel engines, twin front airbags and adjustable-height seatbelts. At Haynes, we have Toyota repair manuals and online maintenance procedures to suit professional mechanics and DIY car enthusiasts alike. Our Toyota Land Cruiser manual will be able to help whether you're servicing or repairing your car.
