BMW 3-Series 2005 - 2008  | 330i - 3.0 Air filter change

1 Undo the 3 bolts, and pull the air intake duct rearwards/upwards and disconnect the intake hose (see illustrations) .

... and remove the intake duct
2 Lift the rubber cap and disconnect the airflow sensor wiring plug (see illustrations) .

... squeeze together the sides and disconnect the air flow sensor wiring plug
3 Release the clamp and disconnect the air outlet hose from the air cleaner assembly.
4 Undo the 2 bolts securing the assembly to the inner wing, then lift it from position (see illustration) . Where necessary unclip the coolant hose as the assembly is withdrawn.

5 Undo the 5 bolts and remove the lower section of the air cleaner assembly (see illustration) .

6 Pull the filter element from place.
7 Clean the air filter housing, removing all debris.
8 Slide the new filter element into place, ensuring it locates correctly with the housing (see illustration) .

9 The remainder of refitting is a reversal of removal.
