Mini Clubman 2007 - 2011  | 1.4 Air filter change

1 On turbo models, loosen the clamp and remove the intake outlet duct from the air filter housing (see illustration) . Also unplug the electrical connector from the Mass Airflow (MAF) sensor (where fitted).
Slacken the clamp (arrowed) and disconnect the air outlet duct
2 Remove the filter housing cover screws. On non-turbo models, there are 7 screws securing the cover to the housing, plus one holding the cover to the valve cover (see illustration) . On turbo models, there are 4 screws along the front edge of the housing (see illustration) .

3 Lift the cover up and remove the old filter.
4 Clean the air filter housing, removing all debris.
5 Install the new filter element, making sure it seats in the housing (see illustration) .
Fit the new element into the housing
6 The remainder of refitting is the reverse of removal.
