Peugeot 206 2002 - 2009  | 1.6 Air filter change

All models except 1.4 DOHC

Undo the retaining screws, which secure the lid to the air cleaner housing
Undo the air cleaner housing lid screws
Lift the lid and remove the air filter element from the housing, noting which way up it is fitted. If necessary, slacken the retaining clip securing the intake duct to the air cleaner housing lid and then remove the lid to improve access
Lift the lid and remove the filter element from the housing
Wipe clean the inside of the housing and then fit the new element, ensuring it is correctly located
Locate the lid correctly on the housing and securely tighten the retaining screws. If necessary, reconnect the intake duct and securely tighten the retaining clip

1.4 DOHC models

Remove the oil filler cap and unclip the engine's upper plastic cover
Unclip the engine's upper style cover
Release the locking clip and disconnect the air intake hose from the front of the air filter housing
Release the locking clip and remove the air intake pipe
Release the locking clip and withdraw the air intake resonator housing from the engine bay
Release the locking clip
Withdraw the air intake resonator housing
Remove the bolt securing the front of the air filter housing
Undo the retaining bolt
Slacken the air intake hose, securing the clip on the throttle housing
Slacken the securing clip
Press the locking clips and disconnect the breather pipe from the top of the air filter housing
Disconnect the breather pipe
Withdraw the air filter housing from the engine bay, unclipping it from its lower locating clip
Withdraw the air intake housing
Release it from its locating clip
Undo the retaining screws, securing the lid to the air cleaner housing
Undo the four retaining screws
Lift the lid and remove the air filter element from the housing, noting which way up it is fitted
Remove the air filter from the housing
Re-fitting is a reversal of removal
