About

The ‘new’ MINI was introduced in July 2001 and was originally available with a 1.6-litre petrol engine. In July 2002 the Cooper S models was introduced, fitted with a supercharged version of the same engine. In June 2003 a 1.4-litre diesel model was added. In the Spring of 2004, the convertible MINI was launched. All models have fully-independent front and rear suspension, with anti-roll bars fitted both to the front and rear assemblies. All models are well equipped, with central locking, electric windows, air-conditioning, an electric sunroof, a dynamic stability control system, and numerous airbags. The MINI should prove reliable and very economical. The engine compartment is well-designed, and most items are easily accessible. At Haynes, we have an extensive range of MINI repair manuals and online maintenance procedures available for professional mechanics and DIY car enthusiasts. Our MINI repair manual is here to help you through every stage of servicing or fixing your car.
