About

The Peugeot 206 was introduced in autumn 1998 as a 3- or 5-door hatchback. Originally, the 206 was available with a choice of 1.1-, 1.4-, and 1.6-litre petrol engines and a 1.9 diesel engine. In 2003, the 1.4-litre 16-valve petrol engine was introduced. In the autumn of 1999, Peugeot introduced the 2.0 litre turbodiesel. In 2001 the 1.4 litre HDi diesel engine was introduced. Other additions to the 206 range include the SW (Sports Wagon) and the CC (Cabriolet Coupe) models. A wide range of standard and optional equipment is available, including air-conditioning, central locking, electric windows and front, side and curtain airbags. Provided that regular servicing is carried out, the Peugeot 206 should prove reliable and very economical. At Haynes, we have an extensive range of Peugeot repair manuals and online maintenance procedures available for professional mechanics and DIY car enthusiasts. Our Peugeot 206 repair manual is here to help you through every stage of servicing or fixing your car.
