Introduced in January 1998 as a replacement for the Carina-E, the Toyota Avensis was available as a 4-door Saloon, 5-door Hatchback and a 5-door Estate. In August 2000, the range underwent a facelift, with cosmetic revisions to the front bumper, headlights, bonnet and front grille. To coincide with the facelift, a new range of petrol engines, with variable valve timing, was introduced, replacing the existing units.
Provided that regular servicing is carried out in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations, the Toyota Avensis will provide the enviable reliability for which this marque is famous. The engine compartment is relatively spacious, and most of the items requiring frequent attention are easily accessible. With our Toyota Avensis manual you will learn the fundamentals of servicing and repairing your Toyota with confidence and care.
