The Volvo S70/V70 Saloon and Estate models were introduced at the end of 1996, and are derived from the successful 850 range. Facelifted and with many detail changes beneath the skin, the new range shares the Volvo 850' s transverse engine/transmission layout, front-wheel drive and state-of-the-art suspension technology.
In April 1997, the AWD four-wheel-drive models were introduced, followed by the C70 sports coupe model in June 1997. The C70 represented a bold move for Volvo, serving as a flagship model, and offering further proof of Volvo’s commitment to driver appeal. Under the tasteful coupe exterior, the C70 shares many of its mechanical components with the Saloon and Estate models.
The engines are all fuel-injected, in-line, five-cylinder units of 1984 cc, 2319 cc or 2435 cc displacement. Both normally-aspirated and turbo-charged versions are available.
In our Volvo S70/V70 manual we will show you how to service and repair your vehicle with confidence.
