In 2005 Yamaha launched two new models which shared the same engine, the YBR125ED and enduro-styled XT125. Yamaha’s 123.7cc four-stroke was air-cooled and had fuel supplied through a Mikuni carburettor, making it economic, simple and reliable. Power output for UK models was 12.5 hp, well below the 14.6 hp limit. Similarity between the YBR and XT models was solely mechanical, both have very different cycle parts. Whereas the YBR had functional simplicity with its rear disc brake and understated styling, the XT’s styling was in keeping with larger capacity enduro/adventure models in the range. At Haynes, we have an extensive range of Yamaha repair manuals and online maintenance procedures available for professional mechanics and DIY car enthusiasts. Our Yamaha YBR125 and XT125 repair manuals will guide you through servicing and fixing your motorcycle.
