About

The Cimarron, produced from 1982 to 1988, was one of a number of GM vehicles built using the economic J-Body. The vehicle was manufactured with a 1.8 liter, 2.0 liter or 2.8 liter gasoline engine that comprised of either a four or five-speed manual transmission or three-speed automatic. Originally intended for release in the late 1980s, production was brought forward to compete with the influx of alternative European vehicles in the American market. Haynes provide full details of repairs, servicing and maintenance schedules in the Cimarron 1982 - 1988 repair manual, and can be ordered in print or digital formats.
