Ram is a United States-based brand of commercial vehicles that was established in 2010. The company is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles and was created as a spinoff from the Dodge brand of trucks. As a division of Chrysler, the Ram brand concentrates on customers who are passionate about trucks, as opposed to those who simply buy a truck for its image or style. Ram has various models on the market, including the popular 1500, 3500 and 5500. The 1500 range of trucks is assembled in Michigan and features a Torqueflite 8 speed transmission and 3.6 liter Pentastar V6 engine as standard. The 3500 and 5500 ranges are assembled in Mexico, and come with 6.4 liter V8 engine as standard.
