Chevrolet Cobalt (2005 - 2010)

When the Cobalt was introduced in 2005 as a 2 door coupe and 4 door sedan, it was done so as a replacement to the Cavalier and Prizm. As well as a standard version, Chevrolet also released a high performance sports edition. Engine sizes ranged from 2.0 liter to 2.4 liter with transmission available in 4 speed automatic or 5 speed manual. The Cobalt had several major production issues, including problems with power steering, padding on the trim and ignition failures. Owners are advised to be mindful of aforementioned issues and follow our fully revised breakdown and repairs advice in the Cobalt 2005 – 2010 repair manual.
