The 2005 and 2006 line of Chevrolet Silverado 1500 HDs featured hydroformed frame rails and heavy-duty four-wheel steering, making it a full-size, half-ton pick-up with powerful engines and solid road handling.
V6 and V8 engine types were available and changes on pre-2005 models included refined running boards to reduce wind noise and optimize fuel consumption. The 2006 model featured a more fuel efficient Hybrid engine.
