The second-generation Chrysler LeBaron was launched in 1982 as a two-door coupe, and four-door sedan. Two-door convertible and five-door station wagon versions appeared a few months later. Engines were all four-cylinder units; the smallest was a 2.2-liter engine, followed by a 2.2 Turbo, a 2.5 and a 2.6. The coupe and convertible models were killed off in 1986, before a second-generation coupe and convertible were launched in 1987. It was built on a different platform, and had aerodynamic features such as covered headlights. A facelift in 1992 replaced the coupe’s headlight covers with conventional lights. In 1990, the third-generation sedan was released, then was killed off in 1994. Haynes has an extensive range of Chrysler repair manuals and online maintenance procedures to suit professional mechanics and DIY car enthusiasts. Our Chrysler LeBaron repair manual will be able to help you service or repair your car with care.
