The GMC Sierra 1500 HD was a heavy duty pickup truck manufactured by General Motors. The vehicle was mechanically identical to the Chevrolet Silverado and featured regular, four-door or extended cab body styles. The 1500 HD had a range of engines, including 4.3 liter Vortec V6s, and Vortec V8s ranging from 4.8-6.0 liters. The Sierra 1500 HD had independent front suspension with torsion bars, and solid rear axle suspension supported by leaf springs and shock absorbers.
