The GMC Yukon XL 2500 was a second generation, three-quarter-ton, full-size SUV from General Motors. The Yukon featured either 4.8 or 5.3 liter V8 engines, and four speed, 4L60-E automatic transmission. The vehicle featured independent front suspension with shock absorbers and torsion bars on four-wheel drive models, and coil springs on two-wheel drive models. Solid axle rear suspension featured leaf springs and shock absorbers. Power steering and ABS brakes were standard. The maintenance schedule includes weekly engine oil level checks, three monthly transmission fluid level checks, and annual chassis lubrication.
