About
The second-generation Mercury Capri appeared in 1979 and was based on the same platform as the Ford Mustang of the same age. Engines ranged from a 2.3-liter four-cylinder engine through a few V6 engines and up to a 5.0-liter V8. The car had a distinctive squared-off nose and flared fenders, all of which remained largely unchanged throughout the car’s life. There were various hot version, including the 1983 Crimson Cat, and 1984 Charcoal Turbo RS. At Haynes, we have an extensive range of Mercury repair manuals and online maintenance procedures available for professional mechanics and DIY car enthusiasts. Our Mercury Capri repair manual is here to help you through every stage of servicing or fixing your car.
