Locate the battery

Check the Negative (-) terminal clamp is tight
 - step 3
Open the 'Positive' (+) protective cover
 - step 4
Check the Positive (+) terminal clamp is tight. CAUTION – if using a spanner to tighten terminal, be careful not to short the spanner on the bodywork
 - step 5
Check battery is generally secure, if loose, tighten the battery retainer
 - step 6
The battery retaining clamp position
 - step 7
To tighten, a 15mm socket is needed. Not too tight as you may damage the battery casing. If you have to replace the battery, click below
