About

The second-generation Volkswagen Golf Cabriolet was actually based on the Mk3 Golf. It replaced the original Cabriolet, which was based on the Volkswagen Rabbit. The style of the car was similar to the original’s, with a fabric roof that stretched over a large mid-mounted roll hoop. The car stayed on sale in this form until late in 199, at which point it was facelifted to match the then-new fourth-generation Golf. At Haynes, we have an extensive range of Volkswagen repair manuals and online maintenance procedures available for professional mechanics and DIY car enthusiasts. Our VW Golf repair manual is here to help you through every stage of servicing or fixing your car.
