Ford Probe (1993 - 1997)

The second-generation Ford Probe was launched in 1993, and shared its underpinnings with two sister cars – the Mazda 626 and Mazda MX-6. There were two engines available – a 2.0-liter four-cylinder or at 2.5-liter V6. The standard transmission was a five-speed manual, but buyers could also choose a four-speed automatic. The larger-engined model was also better equipped, with leather trim, an electrically adjustable driver’s seat, and disc brakes all round. Throughout the car’s life Ford offered various trim/package upgrades until the car was deleted in 1997. At Haynes, we have an extensive range of Ford repair manuals and online maintenance procedures available for professional mechanics and DIY car enthusiasts.
