The first-generation Ford Edge was Ford’s bid to enter the mid-sized SUV market in 2006. It is a sister car to the slightly more upmarket Lincoln MKX. It came in three trim levels, all of which were well equipped with air-conditioning and alloy wheels. Power was provided by a 265hp 3.5-liter V6 gasoline engine driving through a six-speed automatic gearbox. Safety kit was plentiful, with front, side and curtain airbags, plus anti-lock brakes and stability control. In 2011 the Ford Edge was given a facelift that included new front and rear styling, and changes to make the interior easier to use and more luxurious. At Haynes, we have an extensive range of Ford repair manuals and online maintenance procedures available for professional mechanics and DIY car enthusiasts. Our Ford Edge repair manual is here to help you through every stage of servicing or fixing your car.
