The GMC Savana and its sister van the Chevrolet Express were launched in 1996 as rivals to the Ford E Series of vans. They were available as both commercial vans or as passenger vehicles that could hold between 8 and 15 passengers, and haven’t changed hugely throughout their lives. In 2003 they were given a facelift to fit in with the rest of the GM family, and at the same time they were given stability control as standard. In 2008, the passenger models were fitted with roof-mounted airbags to increase safety. At Haynes, we have GMC repair manuals and online maintenance procedures to suit professional mechanics and DIY car enthusiasts alike. Our GMC Savana manual will be able to help whether you're servicing or repairing your car.
