Geo was founded in 1989 and specialized in producing small economy cars. The brand was a subdivision of Chevrolet, and their cars were manufactured as a joint venture between General Motors and three Japanese automakers. Their popular Prizm model was manufactured in California, while the Metro was created in Canada. The Storm, meanwhile, was produced by Isuzu in Japan. Geo has since merged to become part of Chevrolet.
The Geo Storm was a sports car that was available as a three-door fastback and a two-door hatchback. It was first released in 1990, giving consumers a choice between three-speed automatic or a five-speed manual, before being discontinued in 1993.
