About
The second-generation Chevrolet Townsman had a short life of only three years between 1969 and 1972. There were three V8 engines available, starting with a 5.7-liter motor, and rising through a 6.6-liter motor to a 7.4-liter engine. Standard equipment from 1971 included a power rear window, and also a Turbo HydraMatic automatic transmission. No manual was available. The Townsman name was deleted for 1973. At Haynes, we have an extensive range of Chevrolet repair manuals and online maintenance procedures available for professional mechanics and DIY car enthusiasts. Our Chevrolet Townsman repair manual is here to help you through every stage of servicing or fixing your car.
