The Dodge 600 was launched in 1983 to succeed the Dodge 400. It was initially available only as a four-door sedan, although coupe and convertible models followed soon after (these two were, in essence, just rebadged Dodge 400 models). There were four engine options available – a 2.2-liter four-cylinder engine, a 2.2 four-cylinder turbo, a 2.5-liter inline four and a 2.6-liter inline four. There was a choice of either a five-speed manual gearbox or a three-speed automatic transmission. In 1985, the sedan was given a longer wheelbase to enhance cabin space, and the manual gearbox was dropped. Other changes were minor. Haynes has an extensive range of Dodge repair manuals and online maintenance procedures to suit professional mechanics and DIY car enthusiasts. Our Dodge 600 repair manual will be able to help you service or repair your car with care.
