Founded in 1938, Mercury is a division of the Ford Motor Company. It was an entry-level brand that was focused on consumers looking to take advantage of the price gap between Lincoln and Ford vehicles. The brand was discontinued by Ford in 2010 and the last vehicle was manufactured in January 2011. There were many popular Mercury models, including the Lynx, Capri and Sable. The Monarch was a mid-priced vehicle with a lot of similarities to the Mercury line, which was mainly sold in the U.S. and Canada.
Mercury had a few changes made to the brand throughout the years, to help attract more buyers. This was especially important for dealerships located close to Ford and Lincoln outlets. If you are a Lincoln owner, we have a large selection of Mercury repair manuals available, giving you helpful advice, technical specifications and practical guidance to help you do your own Mercury repairs and services.
