BMW’s R1200S brought the same crossover of a tourer style with a sporty feel that the R1200 series is famed for. A considerable weight reduction from the previous 1150 series made the 1200S one of BMW’s most powerful boxers. By saving 18kg, the bike was able to deliver an extra 122hp in performance with the 1170 cc flat twin engine. Servicing and maintenance requirements should take into account the Trellis frame that contributed to the significant weight saving. Our well-informed BMW R1200S 2006 – 2008 repair manual covers all your routine maintenance needs (including lights, oil, tires, brakes and filter changes), as well as guidance on conducting full body repairs and engine upgrades.
