Classic is a label that Chevrolet gave to a number of its vehicles throughout different generational iterations, and between 2004 to 2005 this nameplate was given to the Malibu. This fifth generation Classic was a passenger vehicle available in both 4 door sedan and 5 door station wagon designs. Engine size was dependant on model and year of production, ranging from 2.2 liter gasoline through to 3.9 liter V6 engines. 4 speed automatic transmission was a standard feature on the Malibu. Fully revised servicing and maintenance guidance is available in the Chevrolet Classic 2004 – 2005 Haynes repair manuals, with both print and online formats to choose from.
