About

The fourth-generation of the Dodge Dart appeared in 1967 as a two-door sedan, a four-door sedan and a two-door coupe and convertible. The previous station wagon model was deleted. It was a sister car to the Plymouth Valiant, which was released at the same time. The Dodge Dart had a 2.8-liter six-cylinder engine as standard, although this as increased in size to 3.2–liters in 1970. As standard, the Dart had dual circuit brakes, which enhanced safety. The car’s 1970 facelift comprised new lights front and rear and a new trunk lid. The two-door hardtop model was renamed “Swinger”. The Dart was killed off in 1976. At Haynes, we have an extensive range of Dodge repair manuals and online maintenance procedures available for professional mechanics and DIY car enthusiasts. Our Dodge Dart repair manual is here to help you through every stage of servicing or fixing your car.
