About

The first-generation Dodge Durango was the sister car to (and also provided the basic underpinnings for) the second-generation Dodge Dakota pick-up truck. The two cars shared their front ends, front seats and dashboards. They also had a 3.9-liter V6, plus 4.7-, 5.2-, and 5.9-liter V8 engines in common. In 1999, both models were made available with two-wheel drive as well as four-wheel drive. Both were available in a number of trim levels, with both ranges culminating in a high-performance R/T version. At Haynes, we have an extensive range of Dodge repair manuals and online maintenance procedures available for professional mechanics and DIY car enthusiasts. Our Dodge Durango repair manual is here to help you through every stage of servicing or fixing your car.
