Allen Millyard

Norton Nemesis V8 Rebuild

This pre-production prototype was made in the late nineties and its 1500cc V8 engine could get the bike beyond 200mph. It looks like something you'd see in a Marvel film.

Allen says "As far as I'm aware, this is the only bike that has survived. It’s owned by the National Motorcycle Museum in Birmingham, UK, and has been on display as a non-running exhibit for many years.

"I worked on the bike last year, getting the engine to run after a few rudimentary checks, new oil and batteries for a TV show, where it was ridden for a few miles up to 50mph, but it wasn't running very well and was leaking a lot of oil and coolant."

Grand Thrift Auto

The weirdest cars at the NEC Classic Car Show

Martin took some time out from his Talbot-Matra Rancho project to visit 'the UK's largest and best-loved classic motor show' last month, and decided to focus on the really rare stuff. Such as a Janspeed twin turbo (!) Rover SD1, Meadows Friskys, a Triumph 2500 Pi Estate with four-wheel drive designed for a Swiss doctor in the Alps, a Jag XJ40 Estate prototype, a Television Detector van and much more.

Saving Salvage

I took a massive gamble on this non-runner Audi A7 from BCA!

Dean is an ex-Audi mechanic, so is pretty clued up when working on Ingolstadt's finest. Sadly, this A7 is anything but fine, as its auction description reveals: 'Non runner - sold all faults'.

Its engine has seized, and in this first video of three Dean tries to work out why. The first clues point to potential water ingress, and also timing chain failure. However, as Dean digs deeper (not an easy job), it looks like bearing failure.

The hammer price was $7700, so what are his chances of making any money out of it? You'll find his second video here and the third one here.
