The Focus C-MAX was introduced 2003. All models were 5-door MPVs and all featured removable, independent rear seats. Three trim levels were originally available – LX, Zetec and Ghia. These were later refined to Style, Zetec and Titanium. Safety features included door side impact bars, airbags for the driver and front seat passenger, side airbags, head airbags, whiplash protection system (front seats), and seatbelt pretensioners and load-limiters. There were 1.6-, 1.8- and 2.0-litre petrol engines, and 1.6-, 1.8- and 2.0-litre turbodiesels. Anti-lock brakes plus stability and traction controls are fitted on all models. Some higher specification models also feature an ‘electronic parking brake’ (EPB). Provided that regular servicing is carried out in accordance with the manufacturer’s recommendations, the C-MAX should prove a reliable and economical car. The engine compartment is well-designed, and most of the items needing frequent attention are easily accessible. At Haynes, we have an extensive range of Ford repair manuals and online maintenance procedures available for professional mechanics and DIY car enthusiasts. Our Ford Focus C-MAX repair manual will take you through each stage of servicing and fixing your vehicle.
