The Ford 500 was a four-door sedan that had a short lifespan of just two years, between 2005 and 2007. It was initially produced as a replacement for the slow-selling Taurus. It was also the first Ford sedan to be front-wheel drive, although four-wheel drive was also available. There was but one engine available, a 3.0-liter V6 that produced 203hp. It also incorporated many safety technologies from sister company Volvo. However, the 500 was replaced by a rejuvenated Taurus in 2008. At Haynes, we have Ford repair manuals and online maintenance procedures to suit professional mechanics and DIY car enthusiasts alike. Our Ford 500 manual will be able to help whether you're servicing or repairing your car.
