About
The Land Rover Discovery 3 was introduced in 2004. Its 2.7-litre V6 diesel engine was equipped with a large, variable-geometry turbocharger, intercooler, exhaust gas recirculation system, and an exhaust particulate filter. There were 6-speed manual or automatic transmissions available, with a transfer gearbox to distribute the power to the front and rear final drive units. Air suspension was fitted to all models bar the base-spec vehicles. This allowed for ride heights at each wheel to be varied, to suit the driving conditions. The Land Rover Discovery 3 was available with 5 doors, and 5 or 7 seats.
