About

The second-generation Mazda RX-7 was launched in 1986 as a softer, more comfort-oriented sports car than its predecessor. Under the hood lay a 1.3-liter rotary engine that was available with or without a turbocharger. It had self-adjusting suspension and much more benign handling than the first-generation RX-7. A convertible version was launched in 1988, as was a special-edition version to mark the 10th anniversary of the RX-7. Haynes has an extensive range of Mazda repair manuals and online maintenance procedures to suit professional mechanics and DIY car enthusiasts. Our Mazda RX-7 repair manual will be able to help whether you're servicing or repairing your car.
