Tire center wear is caused by overinflation
Tire shoulder wear is caused by underinflation, incorrect wheel camber (worn suspension parts), or hard cornering
Uneven tire wear is caused by unbalanced wheels, worn/broken suspension parts, or incorrect wheel alignment
Tread wear can be monitored with an inexpensive device known as a tread depth indicator gauge
The original tires have tread wear safety bands (B), which will appear when the tread depth reaches approximately 1.6 mm. The band positions are indicated by a triangular mark on the tire sidewall (A)
