About

Yamaha came up with a new concept in response to the recession and the shrinking of the sports bike market, the MT range; Twins and triples as affordable and fun as the old LC two strokes. All models have the same single cylinder liquid-cooled engine used in the original YZF-R125 The updated YZF-R125 was launched in 2014. The MT125, designed as an entry level naked street bike, was launched in 2015. The steel Deltabox frame uses the engine as a stressed member. Front suspension is by oil-damped upside-down 41 mm telescopic forks. Rear suspension is by a single shock absorber via a three-way linkage and aluminium swingarm that pivots through the frame. Wheels are cast alloy with tubeless tyres. An anti-lock brake system (ABS) is available as an option. At Haynes, we have an extensive range of Yamaha repair manuals and online maintenance procedures available for professional mechanics and DIY car enthusiasts. Our repair manual for the Yamaha MT125 and Yamaha YZF-R125 is here to help you through every stage of servicing or fixing your motorcycle.
