Delivery enquiries can only be responded to if the following applies:

UK Orders: You have allowed up to 7 working days from your order date for your order to arrive

Europe & Overseas Orders: You have allowed up to 28 days from your order date for your order to arrive

When getting in touch, please include your order number and tracking information. Tracking information will be sent via email by Hermes for UK orders and Royal Mail for Europe & Overseas.

European orders for print manuals are likely to incur a tax charge that will need to be paid upon arrival of goods. The charge is to be paid by the customer. 

* Tracked Next Day Delivery is valid on orders placed Monday - Thursday before 2pm. If an order is placed with Next Day delivery on a Friday, it will be delivered the following Monday. Please note we are not able to offer Next Day Delivery to selected post codes. Please see the Next Day Delivery section below for more information

 

Can I track my order?

UK Standard Shipping Addresses: All orders which have a UK shipping address are trackable. The tracking information will be sent via email from Hermes. 

UK Next Day Shipping Addresses: All UK orders which are sent via Next Day Delivery are trackable. The tracking information will be sent via email from Parcelforce.

Please check your spam/junk folder as tracking information may arrive there. Standard delivery enquiries can only be responded to if you have allowed up to seven working days from your order date for your order to arrive. For next-day orders, please allow at least 48hrs from the expected delivery date before contacting customer services.

European & Worldwide Shipping Addresses: All orders which have an overseas shipping address are trackable. The tracking information will be sent via email from Royal Mail.

Do you offer Next Day Delivery?

We offer Tracked Next Day Delivery as an alternative shipping option if you require your order sooner. Orders for UK shipping addresses placed Monday - Thursday before 2pm will qualify for this shipping service and will be delivered by Parcelforce.
If an order is placed with Next Day delivery on a Friday, it will be delivered the following Monday. 
Tracking information will be emailed to you separately by Parcelforce.

Do European orders include any import charges?

We declare the sales value on all of our printed manual orders, which is used by customs when shipping overseas. All European print manual orders placed after 31st January 2021 are likely to incur a tax charge that will need to be paid upon arrival of goods. This charge is to be paid by the customer. 

Does adding a manual to the cart reserve it?

Unfortunately, you're unable to reserve a manual on the website. This means that it's possible the item may go out of stock whilst the manual is still in your cart.

 

How do I buy a manual (including Online Manuals)?

Follow the steps below to place an online order for either a Print or Online Manual: 

1. Select the product you wish to buy
2. Click 'Add to cart' 
3. Your item should now be showing in your basket, which is shown at the top of the screen
4. To view your cart before going to the checkout, hover on the basket logo and click 'Checkout'. On mobile, click on the basket icon
5.  From here you can review your order and when you're happy with your items you can proceed to the next stage of the checkout by clicking 'Continue to next step'
6.  If you are not already logged in, you will now get prompted to log in, create a new account or checkout as a guest
7. If you're already logged into your My Haynes account, you can continue through to the secure checkout pages
8. The billing and shipping addresses are prefilled from your account details.  To use a different shipping address, select 'Ship to a different address' and fill in the new form. Then click 'Continue to next step'
9. Review your order details and tick the 'I agree with the Terms and Conditions' box (please read them first)
10. Enter your payment details and click 'Continue to next step'

If your order is successful, you should now see an order confirmation page with an order number. An order confirmation will be emailed to you within 24 hours.

Returns and Refunds

How do I return a Print Manual?

Bundle Manual Order

  • If, for any reason you are unhappy with your purchase and don't wish to keep the Print Manual of your Bundle, you can return it to us in its original condition within 14 days of the date you received the item. 
  • Please note that any Print Manuals returned that were part of a Bundle, automatically means access to the Online Manual part of your order will be removed and a full refund will be processed, unless a request to keep Online Manual access is sent to us.
  • If you wish to keep the Online Manual from your Bundle Order and return the Print Manual, you will only be refunded the difference of the Online Manual only selling price and the Bundle price. 

Print Only Manual Order (Repair Manuals & Practical Lifestyle)

If, for any reason you are unhappy with your purchase, you can return it to us in its original condition within 14 days of the date you received the item.

Can I get a refund for a Bundle Manual?

If, for any reason you are unhappy with your purchase and don't wish to keep your Bundle, you can return the Print Manual to us in its original condition within 14 days of the date you received the item. 

By returning the Print Manual, this automatically means access to the Online Manual part of your order will be removed and a full refund will be processed, unless a request to keep Online Manual access is sent to us at cs@haynes.co.uk 

If you wish to keep the Online Manual from your Bundle Order and return the Print Manual, you will only be refunded the difference of the Online Manual only selling price and the Bundle price.

Can I get a refund for an Online Manual?

  • If, for any reason you are unhappy with your purchase and don't wish to keep the Online Manual from your Bundle, you can request a refund, however you will need to return the Print Manual as we are unable to do Online Manual only refunds when purchased as a Bundle.

You have 14 days after the day we email you to confirm we accept your order, or, if earlier, until you start accessing the Online Product.

You do not have a right to change your mind in respect of Online Products after you have started to access or use these.

Our refund policy is highlighted to you in several ways prior to purchase and before you begin using the product. For this reason, refunds will only be possible in exceptional cases once you have started to use the product.

Do you refund delivery charges?

Refunds exclude any original order shipping fees.

Any costs incurred by you for the return of a manual are not refunded. Only under particular circumstances we will offer a refund, and these are:

- If you are returning an item because of an error on our part
- It is defective

 

I have received the wrong item. What should I do?

Please return the item, unopened and in its original condition. Provided the item you were expecting is still in stock, we will arrange to re-send it to you as quickly as possible.

If for any reason we are unable to fulfil your order, we will issue a full refund for the price you paid for the item.

 

The item I received is faulty/damaged. Can I return it?

If you receive an item that is faulty or damaged, please return it to us, indicating clearly the nature of the fault or damage, and we will arrange to send you a replacement.

Is it possible to return my Building a Special book?

If you decide you don’t require your order of a Building a Special book, you can return it to our warehouse for a full refund. Please note, to qualify for a refund, you must also return the copy of Building a 750 Special which is sent with all Building a Special books ordered. If you don’t, you will not qualify for a refund of your order.

How will you refund my money?

Refunds will be credited to the card that was used in the original transaction. Unfortunately, we are not able to post a credit to any alternative cards or accounts.

 

Can I change/cancel my order?

Online Manuals can be changed for a different Online Manual or cancelled within 14 days of first accessing your purchase, if you have purchased the wrong manual or are unsatisfied with your manual. The decision for all refunds though are at the discretion of The Haynes Group.

Unfortunately we are unable to cancel or change print manual orders once they've been placed.

If, for any reason you are unhappy with your print manual purchase, you can return it to us in its original condition within 14 days of the date you received the item. This does not affect your statutory rights. By law, you also have the right to withdraw from your purchase within 14 working days - from the day after the item is delivered to you. To cancel your purchase under this cooling-off period, please return it to us so that we receive it within 14 working days from the day after the item is delivered to you.
